PRODUCTION AREA
Lombardy - upper Oltrepò in the
municipality of Montalto Pavese at 390 m a.s.l.
VINEYARD
The particle is the n. 91 of 0.50
hectares planted with Pinot Noir 100% clone 829. North exposure with well-drained
clayey-calcareous soils. The plants are trained in Gujot with 5200 vines/hectare.
Harvest / Vinification
The grapes are harvested
overripe in 18Kg boxes starting from the first week of October. The crushing and destemming and
subsequent maceration of the skins takes place at a controlled temperature in the traditional
way with repeated pumping over for 15 days.
BOTTLING/AGING
After 12 months of aging in Tava
amphorae, it is bottled and aged for a further 12 months. It is consumed from the 2nd year after
the harvest.
BOTTLE/PACKAGE
Heavy Burgundy, cork closure in
horizontal box from 6 pieces. Magnum boxed in packs of 3.
Appearance: color intense ruby red.
Bouquet: complex with notes of blackcurrant and cherry.
Palate: intense and decisive, with a persistent tannic texture.
Service/Pairings: it is served at a temperature of 16/18 °C combining it with great aged cheeses and savoring it at the end of a meal as a meditation wine.
