PRODUCTION AREA
Lombardy - high Oltrepò in the
municipality of Montalto Pavese at 390 m a.s.l.
VINEYARD
Riesling and Pinot Noir. The exposure is
south-west and the soils are marly and calcareous-clayey in places stony. The plants are trained
in Gujot with 3200 vines/hectare.
Harvest / Vinification
Manually in 18 kg boxes
starting from the third week of August with maceration/fermentation on its skins.
TRACTURE/FINING
In late spring, the entire batch of
wine made up of 90% riesling and 10% pinot noir is bottled for the long fermentation. After at
least 36 months of maturation on its lees, it is degorged and aged for a further 6 months. Sold
after at least 3 years.
